<description><![CDATA[Douglas Oran Ferris, age 72, of Council Bluffs, passed away February 13, 2012 at Regency Rehabilitation.  Douglas was born November 26, 1939 in Omaha to Oran E. and Marguerite M. (McTaggart) Ferris.  He was employed with Art Matcha Florist for 20 years as a delivery driver.  Douglas was also the Past Worthy President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #104 where he spent much time with friends and fellow members.  He was an avid bingo player and enjoyed time spent with his dear friends at Regal Towers.

Douglas is survived by his sister Jo Anne Hanegan and his brother Charles Ferris and wife Sue, also nieces, nephews, and friends Carol and Larry Simpson.

John was born May 28, 1937 in Lewis Township to Henry and Helen (Kauss) Petersen, who preceded him in death.

In addition to his parents, John is also preceded in death by his sisters Doris Petersen and Helen Urban Frederiksen, brother Richard Petersen, granddaughter Sharon Donath, grandson Sean Stephen James Miller, and nephews John Urban and Nathan Hogue.

He is survived by children Terri English and husband Dale Hutton, Deborah Harwood and husband Dave, John Petersen and wife Carol, James Petersen and Paz Munguia, Jerry Petersen and wife Nina, Shannon Picha and husband Chad, Colleen Comier, Shelley Bergman, Stephanie Wessels and husband John; 23 grandchildren; sisters Elaine Rosenbohm and husband Marion, Catherine (Katie) Wood and husband Dean; brothers Henry Petersen and wife Edith, Harold Petersen and wife Lu, and Robert Petersen.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://maherlivingstonfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/74_114610.jpg" alt="Virginia (Ginger) Madeline Ellis" />June was raised in South Dakota, but was a resident of Council Bluffs, Iowa for over 40 years.  June is survived by her brother, Robert Parker, two sons, Robert Oknewski and Shane Oknewski, and seven grandchildren. 
She was an amazing, independent woman with lots of energy. She always knew how to make someone laugh and was very feisty. She loved her family and friendsso much. 
June, we love you and miss you very much and you will never be forgotten.

Patsy was born August 15, 1925 in Nebraska City, NE to Carl and Pearl (Cooney) Sheridan who preceded her in death.  Patsy worked for 26 years as the head of the Child Support Enforcement Department for the Douglas Co. Clerk of Court (Omaha, NE). Patsy was also a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William Charles (Bill) Burns, Sr.; sons Thomas Joseph Burns and William Charles Burns, Jr.; brother Emmett Sheridan, who died in a W.W.II concentration camp, brother Carl Sheridan and step father Charles Slack.

Patsy is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Schweer and husband John; 6 grandchildren, Lori (Nielsen) Brewer, Shannon (Burns) Fifer, Michelle Burns, Wendy (Burns) Schweiss, Patrick Burns and Jill (Nielsen) Misciskia.
11 great grandchildren, Morgon Schlotzhauer, Joslyn Schweiss, William Brewer, Jarod Misciskia, Megan Fifer, Caleb Brewer, Billy Fifer, Elijah Brewer, Lillian Misciskia, Ryland Schweiss, and Tobey Misciskia; daughter-in-law Gail Burns; and lifetime best friend Lois Gruber of Nebraska City, NE.
